The Button Hole Golf Learning Center opened for play September 2000 and although not affiliated with The First Tee their goal is to bring affordable golf to young people who might not otherwise be exposed to the sport Located a short drive from downtown Providence Button Hole is a 9 hole par 3 course designed by P B Dye Ron Pritchard and Brad Faxon Overall the course has a linksy feel and the fairways are generally open Golfers tee off from 2 sets of slightly raised tees and the moderately undulated greens are of average size and speed This course will prove challenging for beginners and high handicappers as well as an excellent refresher course for the experienced player Green fees for adults are 10 for 9 holes and 15 for 18 For additional information go to www buttonhole org or call 401 421 1664
