This tree lined course was built on hilly terrain so you can expect some uneven lies The scenery is beautiful especially the four holes that were designed to play alongside the Long Island Sound In addition numerous well placed sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course s design The course s signature hole is 18 a 471 yard par 5 requiring a tee shot over water Rees Jones redesigned the course in 1982 followed by Stephen Kay who remodeled seven holes in 1989
