This is a Scottish style links course It was built on flat terrain and is loaded with a wide variety of sand bunkers There is water that comes into play on one hole The signature hole is 7 a 436 yard par 4 requiring shots down a fairway which sits alongside the bay This club has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U S It was also given recognition by GOLF Magazine in their 1995 list of The First 100 Clubs in America Stephen Kay redesigned two holes in 1987
