This course is bordered by Lake Wisconsin The back nine has many more trees than the front nine The signature hole is 12 a 181 yard par 3 requiring a tee shot from off an island tee box This resort course features some holes that play below sea level where man made dikes come into play There have been some record scores of 63 but the trick is to keep the ball in play The back nine was first built by two local farm and golf families near the power dam The front nine built in 1964 was designed by the local high school golf coach Gil Rodencal It was built back from the lake with sandy bluffs and ledges providing spectacular views of the lake the dam and the eagles that live in the area
