This resort has two outstanding eighteen hole courses Apple Valley and Bald Mountain Apple Valley was designed by Dan Maples and features tight fairways and well guarded greens Bald Mountain was construted in 1968 and takes its name from the rock faced cliffs that tower over the course Bald Mountain was made famous by the movie Dirty Dancing Both mountain style courses were cut out of the local foothills so expect some uneven lies There are many bunkers located strategically throughout both courses and water hazards come into play twenty one times out of the thirty six holes Both courses play well over 6,500 yards and there are four sets of tees on the Apple Valley Course and five sets of tees on the Bald Mountain Course The Golf School of America is located here Instruction is available contact the pro shop for further details or log on to the club s web site at www lakeluregolf com
