This course is very picturesque and challenging with numerous mature trees and sections of the Potomac River bordering some holes The course features tree lined fairways The signature hole is 9 a 228 yard par 3 requiring a long accurate tee shot to a green framed by out of bounds stakes Water hazards come into play on a few holes George Cobb redesigned this course in 1959 followed by Ed Ault in 1989 The 6,278 yard men s tee also has a ladies course rating of 76.8 and a slope of 134 Tee times are only reserved for weekdays This club will only reciprocate with other private clubs in the local area
