This facility opened a second eighteen hole course in 1999 the River Course to give it thirty six holes The River Course is links in design with considerably more water affecting play than the original Island Course The signature hole is 12 a 344 yard par 4 which has water that runs down the entire left side of the dogleg left fairway A bunker guards the right side of the fairway Golfers have the option of using a driver to carry the bunker or an iron to lay up short The front nine on the Island Course is a links style design and the back nine is traditional in design The course has greens and tree lined fairways Golf Digest rated this as the 5th Best In State course for 1995 96 and the 7th best for 1997 98 Guests must be accompanied by a member in order to play the course
