This course is representative of the hilly terrain throughout Illinois The course plays longer than it looks and has small greens and open tree lined fairways There are three dogleg fairways but the most severe is on hole 4 a 618 yard par 5 This hole requires a shot over a stream another through the trees and an approach shot over water to the green The course has a pond that can come into play on hole 5
