Pennyrile Forest State Park Golf Course was expanded to a full 18 holes in 2003 This rural course lies at the bottom of a small valley surrounded by rolling hills The course is flat with a creek running through the middle and water comes into play on every hole of the front nine The new nine plays over gently rolling hills and through a pine forest The greens are soft and will hold a shot The rough along the fairways is deep so stay on the fairway if you want to keep your score down Hole 3 a 499 yard par 5 requires a tee shot from a narrow chute with woods on the left side and the creek on the right The fairway slopes toward the water hazard so hitting your tee shot straight is a necessity Another creek must be crossed before you reach the green which is severely slope Tee times are reserved for weekends and holidays only For additional information call the pro shop at 270 797 3421
