This facility opened a second eighteen hole course in the summer of 1997 The North Course is more of links style design with grass mounds placed along the fairways The layout doesn t include the Scottish style rough outlining the holes but there are twenty eight different types of grasses and wildflowers planted throughout the design The signature hole on the new layout is 16 a 168 yard par 3 which requires a carry of all but twelve yards over water The Championship Course is another challenging layout that has water hazards coming into play on a few holes The fairways are average width and the greens are fast Bon Vivant hosted a U S Open qualifier in 1996 There are discounts on cart rentals during the weekdays
