This course was built on typical Northern Michigan terrain that features rolling meadows and maple woodlands Water hazards come into play on a few holes and sand bunkers have been incorporated throughout the entire course Half of the fairways are tree lined while the other half are wide open The greens vary in size and undulation as do the fairways The signature hole is 6 a 401 yard par 4 requiring shots past the scenic wetlands in order to reach the green
